About Aapna

Aapna Services Ltd is a registered charity and aims to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people from ethnic minority background who are socially excluded on the grounds of their ethnicity, religion, belief or creed by providing a local network group that encourages and enables the people to participate more effectively with the wider community.

The organisation has a Board of Trustees that include both experienced professionals from within the Voluntary Sector and a number of community leaders who are also carers.

Current projects are managed through volunteers from the community and the Trustees. We have developed a range of policies that support our service delivery and have created management systems that enable us to undertake successful delivery of projects, management of sessional workers and monitoring and evaluation systems

Our aims

The organisation aims to preserve and protect the health of those caring for people with physical, mental, learning or sensory impairment, and those with dementia, within the family home or by offering a culturally appropriate respite service through the provision of community based care.

Aapna works in partnership with other agencies in a common effort to advance education, provide culturally suitable facilities in interest of social welfare for recreation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for people with disadvantages.
